Schoolies is a 3 week festival for school leavers celebrating the completion of their Year 12 Certificate throughout Australia. The festival takes place from November to December and involves thousands of students from all over Australia. Among most popular Schoolies locations on the east coast are Surfers Paradise on the Gold Coast. However, there are many other great destinations in Tropical North Queensland, Magnetic Island, Great Keppel Island, Airlie Beach, Byron Bay, Lorne on the great Ocean Road in Victoria, Sunshine Coast and many more. Generally the focus changes by state of origin. He first is mostly students from Queensland, the second week - New South Wales students and the third week Victorian students. During Schoolies Week groups of students hire accommodation at their preferred
location, and have a fantastic week of fun, surf, shopping and relaxing after their exams are over. It's an opportunity for groups to try new activities in great locations such as try beach sports, surfing, diving, snorkeling, sailing, fishing, sea kayaking and windsurfing. There are a huge range of planned activities and entertainment with many towns providing special programs. These include fun competitions, sport activities, cruises, dance parties, live bands and many more.

Schoolies Week is a 2 to 3 week period where Year 12 school leavers celebrate all around Australia. This usually takes place between mid-November and mid-December after when year 12 students Leaving Certificate exams are finally over. Not all properties will accept Schoolies bookings.
