The beautiful rural and holiday centre of Stanthorpe is located on the New England Highway near the New South Wales border about 55 km north of Tenterfield NSW, and 220 km from Brisbane. It is located in the Southern Downs Region of Queensland. Stanthorpe lies in the heart of the renowned Granite Belt Wine District, which is the premier wine region in Queensland, featuring more than 44 vineyards, wineries and cellar doors.
