Point Halloran and Victoria Point are beautiful bayside Brisbane suburbs that are the departure point to Coochiemudlo Island and the four other islands in Moreton Bay. Coochiemudlo Island is just a few minutes from Victoria Point by ferry, which is very popular for day-trip visitors. With a multitude of parks and esplanades Point Halloran is a very popular spot for cycling, walking, picnics and BBQs. Koalas are an important feature of the Redland area and Victoria Point is home to several environmental reserves. You can see koalas in the wild at Point Halloran Conservation Reserve and Eprapah Environmental Centre and both places have excellent bushwalking trails. Egret Colony Wetlands is home to many species of birdlife, and is also worth a visit. There is a range of beachfront and waterfront holiday accommodation in this area.
